Newton Centre became the seat of local government when, in 1714,
the land at the corner of Centre and Homer Streets was found to be
the geographic center of town. In 1721 the meetinghouse was
moved to Newton Centre, and a militia training field was
established. Meet at the corner of Langley Road and Centre Street.
Parking is available in the adjacent Newton Centre Public Lot. Free.
Co-sponsored by the Newton History Museum and
the Mayors Office of Cultural Affairs.

Newton.
The program includes a lecture and a video about Jewish marriage, and
will be followed by a tour of the Western Well, the new Natick mikve.
