  • Tuesday, June 4, at 7:15 p.m.: Meeting of the Friends of Hemlock Gorge at the Emerson School, Pettee Street, Newton Upper Falls.
  • Thursday, June 6, at 7:00 p.m.: "Volunteer Fair" for the Newton Country Players.
  • Friday, June 14
    • at 6:30 p.m.: Newton's Flag Day Program at the Newton Free Library Main Branch on Homer Street. Further details in the press release.
    • at 6:45 p.m.: Shabbat services and dinner in celebration of Beth Menachem Chabad's third year of serving the Newton Community. Reservations for the meal, singing, and discussion that follow services are: $18/adult, $8/child (age 3-11). Reservations must be made by June 10th.   • Sunday, June 16, 2:00 p.m.: Children's Cultural Celebration at the Jackson Homestead. A special annual celebration -- bring Dad and celebrate! RCN will sponsor KidCare ID kits; refreshments included with admission. Tickets are $5.00 per person, $15.00 per household. Discounts for Newton Historical Society and WGBH members.
  • Saturday, June 22, 11:00 a.m.: Walking Tour of Newton Upper Falls. Meet at Elliot and Chestnut Streets. A Newton Pride and Jackson Homestead project.
