TO FREEDOM": The Jackson
Homestead's Role in the Underground Railroad.
To commemorate Black History Month and The Jackson
Homestead's role in the Underground Railroad, participate in this
program which documents fugitives' journeys to freedom through
songs and stories. Join staff curator Sheila Sibley who uses interactive
techniques.
Admission: included with regular museum admission.

"A VISIT WITH ELLEN KRAFT".
The Jackson Homestead
Museum presents Marcia Estabrook in her historical portrayal of
Ellen Craft, an escaped slave who became an abolitionist.
Program admission: $5.00,
$4.00 for Newton Historical Society or WGBH members.

Meeting of the Greater Boston Seniors Computer Group.

The GBSCG does not provide computer classes. Dues are $3 per meeting or
$20 per year.

"COOKING THEN & NOW".
The Jackson Homestead Museum teams up with
Newtonville neighbor Bread and Circus Whole Foods Market.
During school vacation, children and adults can travel through the
centuries to learn about and compare how families obtained and
made food in the 19th century and how it is produced today.
The program begins
at The Jackson Homestead and admission is: $3.00, $2.00 Newton Historical Society
and WGBH members.
