- Wednesday, January 9, at 9:30 a.m.:
Meeting of the Greater Boston Seniors Computer Group, at the Newton Senior
Center.
The newly released Microsoft Windows XP operating system is a significant
step forward in simplifying computer usage while expanding the system
capabilities. Ease of use is increased by allowing multiple users to each
have a customized environment also facilitating interfaces with music,
Video and still camera sources. The stability of Windows XP with its
ability to revert to previous system status overcomes some of the
problems with previous systems. Most new computers will come with Windows
XP and therefore one will need to know how to prepare for the conversion
of existing software and hardware. Matthew Barmash is a Microsoft expert
and will reveal and demonstrate many of the features of the new system.
The GBSCG does not provide computer classes. Dues are $3 per meeting or
$20 per year.
