Wednesday, June 1, at 6:45 p.m.: Meeting of the Temple Emanuel Networking Group. John Tovrov will speak on "Skills for Acing the Interview, from Telephone Screen to Job Offer."
We have often talked about "how to get the interview". Here's your chance to learn how. John Tovrov has coached and trained job seekers, managers, and executives for over twenty years. His current practice is working with job seekers to improve and perfect their interview skills, helping them prepare for the most important conversations of their lives. John offers his services on the honor system -- he requests payment for services only after his clients have been hired.
Temple Emanuel is at 385 Ward Street, Newton. The building is handicap accessible and there is on-street parking. Free and open to the public.
Tuesday, June 7, at 7:30 p.m.: Meeting of the Friends of Hemlock Gorge at the Emerson Community Center, Pettee Street, Newton Upper Falls.
Sunday, June 26, at 2:00 p.m.: Historic Newton Walks: "Finding Newton's Old Waterworks at Cutler Pond. Join Lucy Caldwell-Stair to locate the old pumps and wells along the 1.5 mile trail and visualize how this elaborate engineering system worked. Extra option: a 1-mile walk along the site of the old filter basins and the pumping station at Needham Street.
Meet at the Cutler Pond DCR parking lot on Kendrick Street just across the Charles River in Needham. Free. A program of the Historic Newton.
